Freedone (Final) by Smokingjay Freedone (Final) by Smokingjay
Freedone (Final)

*Finished version of my previous work. Much happier with the tone of this one now. No getting away from it though - this is a political piece whether I like or not :P. Hope you like*

Recently Ive become very interested in stencil art after seeing a fellow deviant artist's work using spray paints and this led me on to thinking about trying some out myself.
I sat down to mock up some ideas to try out and I got a bit carried away :D Was also the first time Ive really tried any freehand stuff as I am not generally any good at it :P

Didn't intend to make anything political as such but I think I had a couple of Wikileaks articles in my head from the day before so that might have had something to do with it.

I love the concept, intentional or not, it's sadly becoming more and more true

Thanks very much for the comment.
Sadly I don't think its becoming more true as much as we are becoming more aware of it. Think I read a quote some where once that said if your not angry, your not paying enough attention. Couldn't agree more :D

I think you may be right about that, I travel alot, and I've been wtching our freedoms and rights slowly being eroed away in the name of homeland security. just 2 weeks ago I watched them make an elderly women get out of her wheel chair so they could check it for bombs? I guess :? and then pat her down like some criminal. what happened to our 4th amendment rights? what has happened to innocent until proven guilty? sad really, but that's why your piece spoke to me. really great work. :)
